sambodhiprārthanākāram ayatnata eva bodhicittamutpadyate | yathoktam

ativiśiṡṭaṃ suvarṇālaṅkāramabhibhavati, vajraratnanāma ca na vijahāti, sarvadāridrayaṃ ca

yāvad bodhisattvena śikṡitavyam | kiṃ punarlokottareṡu dhyānādiṡu | anyathā kathaṃ 
sarvākāraṃ sattvārthaṃ kuryu: | sā ceyaṃ saṃkṡepeṇa bodhisattvasya prajñopāyarūpā pratipattirna 
prajñāmātraṃ nopāyamātram | yathā āryavimalakīrtinirdeśe{1. dege-kā^ (sūtra-'ma' 201) saṃ^-4 pari^ pr^ 116 ti^ saṃsthānam |}-“prajñārahita upāya 
upāyarahitā ca prajñā bodhisattvānāṃ bandhanam” ityuktam | upāyasahitā prajñā

dharmasaṅgrāhakaṃ kuśalam upāya ucyate | prajñā tu tasyaiva copāyasyā-
viparītasvabhāvaparicchedahetu: | tayā hi samyagupāyaṃ vivicyā’viparyasto yathāvat 
svaparārthānuṡṭhānād viṡamiva mantraparigrhītaṃ bhuñjāno na saṃkliśyate | tathā coktamatraiva

bhāva: kadācid drṡṭo bhavati, evaṃ sati tanniṡedhenābhāvavikalpa: pravartate | yadā tu 
kālatraye’pi bhāvo yoginā prajñācakṡuṡā nirūpayatā nopalabdha:, tadā kathaṃ tasya

parigrhītā prajñā mokṡa: | prajñayā aparigrhīta upāyo bandhanam, prajñāparigrhīta

prajñāmātraniṡevaṇā tāvad bodhisattvānāṃ śrāvakeṡṭanirvāṇapatitatvād bandhanamiva 
bhaviṡyati | na hi apratiṡṭhitanirvāṇena (teṡāṃ) mokṡo bhaviṡyati | tasmād 
upāyarahitā ca prajñā bodhisattvānāṃ bandhanamityucyate | ata: yathā vāyupīḍita: agniṃ 
sevate, tathaiva bodhisattvena viparyāsavāyumātraprahāṇāya upāyasahitayā prajñayā śūnyatā 
sevanīyā, na tu śrāvakavat sākṡātkarttavyā | yathā āryadaśadharmakasūtre{2. dege-kā^ (ratnakūṭa 'khā’ 173) |} coktam-
“kulaputra, tadayathā kaścinmanuṡya: agniparicaryāṃ karoti, sa tamagniṃ satkaroti, guruṃ 
karoti, tathāpi sa evaṃ cintayati yadahaṃ agniṃ satkaromi, guruṃ karomi, 
bahulīkaromi, tathāpi 'mayā ayaṃ (agni:) dvābhyāṃ pāṇibhyāṃ parigrhītavya:’ ityevaṃ
naiva cintayati | tat kimarthamiti cet ? tatsannidhānena mayi kāyikaṃ du:khaṃ
caitasikaṃ daurmanasyaṃ ca sambhāvyata iti cintanād” iti | tathaiva nirvāṇāśayo’pi 
bodhisattvo naiva nirvāṇasākṡātkāraṃ karoti | tatkasya heto: ? tadāśrayeṇāhaṃ

dūrīkrterṡyādimalā hi santo guṇairatrptā: salilairivābdhi: |
vivecya grhṇanti subhāṡitāni haṃsā: payo yatpayasi prahrṡṭā: |
pakṡapātākulaṃ tasmād dūrīkrtaṃ mano budhai: |
sarvameva grahītayaṃ bālādapi subhāṡitam ||
ācāryakamalaśīlena ante nibaddho bhāvanākrama: samāpta: |
trtīya: bhāvanākrama: samāpta: |
ye dharmā hetuprabhavā hetuṃ teṡāṃ tathāgato hyavadat |
teṡāṃ ca yo nirodha evaṃvādī mahāśramaṇa: ||
bhavatu sarvamaṅgalam
